Maxine McCrann is a painter and illustrator based between New York and Toronto. Her work is bold and saturated with color, and draws on food, travel, and the rituals of everyday life.

Raised in Lower Manhattan and now working from a studio in Toronto's Junction, Maxine moves between fine art, publishing, and brand collaboration. She illustrated the cover and interior of Hailee Catalano's By Heart (Penguin/DK), winner of a James Beard Award.

Her collaborators include Coach, Porter Airlines, The Drake Hotel, Campari, Bon Appétit, Shake Shack, and Fishwife. Her paintings are held in private collections in North America and Europe, and are available through her studio and Tacit.
